A homicide investigation's been launched after a person attacked outside Te Papa at the weekend, died in hospital.
The victim, understood to be an emergency housing tenant, was found critically injured on Saturday evening - life support was turned off yesterday.
A 28-year-old's due in court next week and police are considering further charges.
Hoff Hospitality group owner Matt McLaughlin has long spoken about the CBD becoming more dangerous, but says his concerns are falling on deaf ears.
He's been warning that someone would die, if action wasn't taken.
