A sixth person has appeared in court in relation to the murder of Rau Tongia in Wellington

The 33-year-old was found dead at a property in Karori in December.

Smiling to a courtroom full of supporters, the 47-year-old woman appeared on a charge of being a party to murder by arranging and counselling the offender to commit the offence.

She's been s remanded in custody to reappear in the High Court next month - and has been granted name suppression for 48 hours.

Four other women and a man have already appeared in court in relation to the killing.
