Amy Schumer is learning to cope without childcare

The 39-year-old actress has revealed her nanny, whose name is Jane, is no longer looking after her and Chris Fischer’s 21-month-old son Gene because she’s “focusing on her studies” instead, leaving Amy and her husband to fend for themselves

Alongside a picture of Gene, she wrote on Instagram: "We have evolved to having no child care. Love to Jane who is focusing on her studies. Any tips for cutting a toddlers nails? We are strugglin! Also thanks to @evamendes for posting a bunch of great accounts to follow for toddlers check out her page for the list! (sic)”

Jane had been quarantining with the ‘Trainwreck’ star amid the COVID-19 pandemic, and in January last year, Amy praised the nanny for “making it possible” for her to continue working whilst knowing Gene is in safe hands.

Posting a picture of herself and Jane in matching face masks, she said at the time: "This is our nanny who makes it possible for me to work and know that our baby is happy and healthy. I love her very much and we also both want to have nice skin.”

And in October 2019, Amy opened up about going back to work after welcoming her first child.

She said: "It's empowering. It's like you get a piece of yourself back, but it is hard. I'm just so fortunate, you know? Because a lot of people have it a lot harder."

The ‘I Feel Pretty’ actress had previously expressed on Instagram the difficulty and mixed feelings she had about going back to work as a new mother.

She wrote: "I'm feeling strong and good and like I'm still a human being with interests and ambitions and goals I'm excited to reach. It's felt good to be back at work. A couple days I've cried from missing [Gene]. But it's mostly good to be back, and the breaks energize me to be a better mom and appreciate our time even more."
