New details have emerged about the death of a Christchurch toddler in a washing machine last week.
The Coroner's suppressed the child's name and other information to protect their family.
Coroner Anna Tutton says the youngster's father realised he hadn't seen the toddler playing with the other children in the household, for ten minutes.
The child was then found inside a washing machine -- and died in hospital on Saturday.
Police are investigating the death and a Coronial inquiry is underway.
