Martha Stewart has found the #MeToo movement "really painful"

The 79-year-old star admitted she has known "almost every single one" of the men who were accused and explained why she has complicated feelings about some allegations

She told Harper's Bazaar: "It has been really painful for me. I’ve known almost every single one of the famous guys that has been accused and set aside.

"Some were certainly guilty of a lot of what was accused. But some were - it’s just their awful personalities.

"I am not going to mention their names, but I know those people very, very well, and you know the man just talks about sex during dinner. That doesn’t mean anything to me."

Martha - who was modelling in her teens and 20s before working on Wall Street in the 1960s and 70s - admitted succeeding as a woman in business meant she had to tolerate some bad behaviour.

She added: “You had to keep your cool and just do your thing, and brush them away.”

Meanwhile, last month the star insisted she "waited in line" to receive her coronavirus vaccine and didn't receive any special treatment as she was given the injection near the New York City medical facility named in her honour.

In a social media video, she said: "I was vaccinated today in a designated vaccine pod near the Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mount Sinai Downtown.

"To allay your concerns that I jumped the line know that I am in the approved age group for this batch of vaccines and I waited in line with others."

Martha - who is "looking forward to the booster" after receiving her first dosage - also took the time to express her gratitude towards the medical personnel during their bit during the pandemic.

She added: "[I am] so proud of and grateful to the doctors, nurses and medical staff who are wading through the red tape and confusion of the distribution of these very important vaccines."
