The Christchurch City Council's venues and events company - Vbase Limited - has changed its name

The Christchurch City Council's venues and events company - Vbase Limited - has changed its name

Venues Otautahi will continue to own and manage the Town Hall and Christchurch Arena, and run facilities such as the Airforce Museum and Hagley Oval.

CEO Caroline Harvie-Teare says the new name better reflects what the company does.

She says the change also signals the company brand taking a back step to the focus on community-owned venues.
