Final decisions on the trialling of boats for the Tokyo Olympics are not expected until Sunday or Monday but Jordan Parry looks poised to represent the country as a development prospect in the single sculls.
Andrew Alderson reports.
Parry's understood to be faster than the 42-year-old double Olympic and five-time world champion, but a final decision is pending.
Other options for Drysdale could include the men's eight or quad, if the governing body elects to send those boats to the last chance regatta at Lucerne in May.
The eight's the likelier prospect with the incumbent pair of Tom Murray and Michael Brake likely to bolster the ranks alongside Hamish Bond.
Jack Lopas , the recent winner of the national championships in the single sculls, is expected to partner veteran Chris Harris in the double.
