Highlanders coach Tony Brown hopes another off-field incident is a wake-up call to one test All Black pivot Josh Ioane
31 March 2021
Ioane and five of his Highlanders teammates have been scratched from selection consideration for Friday's game against the Crusaders due to disciplinary issues.
It's understood it was a late night incident at a private residence, where police and noise control were on scene.
Ioane was involved in an alcohol-related incident that saw him stood down from Otago last year.
Brown says if Ioane wants to add to his one test cap from 2019, something needs to change.
Meanwhile, George Bridge makes his return on the right wing in the Crusaders side to play the Highlanders.
He's been sidelined with a pectoral injury since last October
