Wellington's Chamber of Commerce is raising concerns about the new minimum wage

Wellington's Chamber of Commerce is raising concerns about the new minimum wage

The hourly rate increases today from 18 dollars and 90 cents, to 20 dollars an hour.

Chamber chief Simon Arcus says it comes at a bad time, and adds another cost for businesses in a tight and uncertain environment.

He says the change will cause significant stress particularly on small businesses, worst hit by the pandemic.
