Woods continues to recover from leg injuries suffered during his February car accident in Los Angeles.
Thomas has spent time with Woods recently.
This morning authorities have confirmed Woods was hooning at almost twice the legal speed limit when he crashed his SUV.
Analysis at the scene has suggested Woods clocked up to 140 kilometres per hour on a downhill stretch that had a speed limit of 72 kilometres per hour.
Detectives did not seek search warrants for his phone or blood samples, which could have been screened for drugs or alcohol.
