Filling avocado sachets with meth ... has landed a Mexican national behind bars in Auckland for more than 10 years.

Filling avocado sachets with meth ... has landed a Mexican national behind bars in Auckland for more than 10 years.

37-year-old Victor Manuel Iglesias Martos sent 113 kilograms of methamphetamine stashed in the pulp packages to Auckland in early 2019.

Customs officers found them hidden in the false bottoms of delivery boxes.

Martos was caught red-handed moving the boxes to a storage unit soon after arriving for what he claimed was a family holiday.
