Miranda Lambert performed three times at the 2021 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards on Sunday (18.04.21)

The 37-year-old singer - who walked away from the ceremony empty-handed, despite a string of nominations - opened the show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, with Elle King and their collaboration 'Drunk (And I Don't Wanna Go Home)' before later returning to the stage to join Chris Stapleton on his track 'Maggie's Song' in place of his wife Morgane, who was unable to be there due to a prior commitment

Her hat trick of performances concluded when she, Jon Randall and Jack Ingram teamed up for a performance of 'In His Arms'.

Jimmie Allen got a surprise during his performance at the Bluebird Cafe when, after beginning his rendition of 'Freedom Was a Highway', his collaborator Brad Paisley appeared on stage with a guitar to join the New Male Artist of the Year winner on the track.

Carrie Underwood teamed up with CeCe Winans for a powerful gospel medley on the Grand Ole Opry Stage, which was introduced by Dolly Parton.

Dolly said: "I have always admired Carrie’s incredible talent, but am just as impressed with her personal qualities– her compassion, kindness, generosity, and, most of all, the powerful faith that we both share.

“Now, her performance tonight speaks to that faith in a medley from her new gospel hymns album, 'My savior', which I know is a true passion project for her.”

The 'Before He Cheats' hitmaker began the segment with an a cappella rendition of 'Amazing Grace', before CeCe joined her on 'Great Is Thy Faithfulness' and 'The Old Rugged Cross' before Carrie closed the set with 'How Great Thou Art'.

Blake Shelton marked the 20th anniversary of his debut single 'Austin' with a performance of the track, which went straight into his latest single 'Minimum Wage',

while Ashley McBryde performed 'Martha Divine' and Alan Jackson also sang two tracks, 'Drive (For Daddy Gene') and 'You'll Always Be My Baby'.

Keith Urban took a break from co-hosting the evening with Mickey Guyton to perform his latest single, 'Tumbleweed', and Kelsea Ballerini and Kenny Chesney joined forces for a rendition of their new duet 'Half of My Hometown'.
