The Covid-19 Response Minister says measures are in place for airport workers moving between red and green zones

The Covid-19 Response Minister says measures are in place for airport workers moving between red and green zones

Our latest border case cleaned planes on three shifts while infectious -- including ones returning to Australia on Monday.

It's believed there's no additional risk for travellers on those flights, because the worker was wearing PPE.

Chris Hipkins says there's nothing to suggest protocols for red and green zones need changing.

He says it's difficult to tell someone they can go out in public -- but not work in the green zone.

It's been confirmed the worker cleaned the plane of an infected returnee from Ethiopia on April 10 - and genome sequencing confirms a link.

We have no new community cases today, and one in MIQ.
