No word yet from NZ Bus, after it was ordered to lift its lockout notice on Wellington bus drivers

No word yet from NZ Bus, after it was ordered to lift its lockout notice on Wellington bus drivers

The company took the step after about 100 of its employees walked off the job yesterday.

The Tramways Union filed proceedings in the Employment Court, asking for an urgent injunction against the notice.

The court has today sided with the union, saying the lockout was unlawful as it did not comply with the Employment Relations Act.

NZ Bus has been approached for comment, but is yet to respond.
