Janet Mary Nye died in October 2018, in the Ladakh mountains.
The 68-year-old Wellingtonian was on a trip organised by New Zealand's Federated Mountain Clubs.
The coroner has today heard she suffered cardio-respiratory arrest due to altitude sickness.
Discussion this morning has focused on trip organisation and who had responsibility for health issues during the trek.
It's set down for three days.
