Ko's in a tie for 7th at seven under par overall along with four others, following a second-round four under 68.
She's four shots off the pace set by South Korean duo Hee Young Park and Inbee Park.
Ko tees off in round three at 1:13pm.
Meanwhile, Ryan Fox will start the third day of the New Zealand PGA Championship in Te Puke with a one shot lead.
Fox is 12 under par overall, with Tae Ko and Josh Geary tied for second at 11 under.
All three tee off at 12:40 this afternoon.
