The Government has hit back at Judith Collins after she accused Labour of trying to sneak through a 'two system' New Zealand, with separate systems for Maori

The Government has hit back at Judith Collins after she accused Labour of trying to sneak through a 'two system' New Zealand, with separate systems for Maori

The National Party leader made the accusation at a regional convention in Auckland yesterday - where she also raised concerns about the recently-announced Maori Health Authority.

Minister for Maori Crown Relations Kelvin Davis says he's disappointed but sadly not surprised.

He says it's a desperate speech from an increasingly desperate leader.

Davis says her speech is at odds with the recommendations in National's election review, and at odds with her deputy leader's comments in recent days on a Maori Health Authority.
