6 May 2021
The 33-year-old was yesterday sentenced to five years and nine months in prison after being found guilty of two charges of sexual assault.
A jury found him guilty in March of the sexual assault of a then 26-year-old woman inside her Newcastle home in September 2018.
His lawyers today lodged paperwork in the Court of Appeal to begin the process but it's unclear under what grounds.
