NRL bunker official Steve Chiddy has been stood down for the rest of round nine

NRL bunker official Steve Chiddy has been stood down for the rest of round nine

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

It comes after Roosters coach Trent Robinson described the handling of an incident in his side's loss to the Eels as incompetent and ridiculous.

Sydney five-eighth Drew Hutchison was hospitalised after he copped knees in the back from Parramatta opposite Dylan Brown as he dived for a try.

Brown wasn't placed on report until 20 minutes later.

NRL head of football Graham Annesley's confirmed Chiddy wouldn't oversee any further matches this weekend, with Chris Butler replacing him for tonight's match between the Cowboys and Broncos.
