Operation Tauwhiro was launched in February to disrupt and prevent firearms-related violence.
Since then, 378 people have been arrested, 350 firearms have been seized, along with nearly 2.5 million dollars in cash.
A recent search warrant in Auckland, found a firearm legally purchased using a current Firearms Licence, but was then passed on to an unlicensed person.
