Teachers need more confidence around science subjects

Up to 80 percent of Year 8 students are falling below the benchmark.
Science educators have published a report detailing the effectiveness of training primary teachers' confidence in science.
Nanogirl Dr Michelle Dickinson says if teachers don't feel capable of teaching a subject they won't do it.
She says if students don't learn the basics of science in primary school they are most likely to drop the subject once they get to high school.
