    Olympic great Mahé Drysdale has announced his retirement from competitive rowing aged 42


    He has competed at four Games and was a double single sculls champion in 2012 and 2016 as well as securing the bronze while recovering from illness in 2008.



    New Zealand's 16-strong hockey squads are backing experience to guide them to the podium at the Tokyo Olympics.

    The women feature new five players with more than 200 caps - Ella Gunson, Sam Charlton, Rose Keddell, Olivia Merry and captain Stacey Michelsen.

    The men's outfit does too, in the form of Steve Edwards, Shea McAleese, Stephen Jenness, Hugo Inglis and captain Blair Tarrant.



    Novak Djokovic has survived a scare to set up a French Tennis Open semi-final against Rafael Nadal.

    The world number one has beaten ninth seed Matteo Berrettini in four sets to advance to a 57th career meeting with the 13-time champion.
