Police are investigating two fatal crashes this morning

Police are investigating two fatal crashes this morning

State Highway 50 at Marae-kakaho, near Hastings, will remain closed until mid morning, after a pedestrian was struck by a truck.

It's believed the person was unloading equipment from another truck when they were hit.

And the road at the scene of a fatal crash in Waikato has reopened.

One person died following a single car crash on Waipapa Road, Wharepapa South.

A second person was taken to hospital in a serious condition.
