Waka Kotahi's engagement period closes at 11pm today .
Eleven state highways across the north of the country are being reviewed, after being identified as roads where safer speed limits could make a big difference in preventing deaths and serious injuries.
More than a thousand people have already given their feedback.
Concerns have included the safety of school children and others who walk and ride bikes on the highways, road maintenance, the enforcement of speed limits and driver behaviour.
