A construction boss suggests a worker shortage is about unprecedented demand - not covid issues

Workforce Information Platform data suggests we're short 65-thousand workers countrywide.

Auckland and Wellington are the worst affected areas.

He says the issue has only come to a head more recently, as housing project demand increases.
