Madonna once braided her hair through a performance of 'Cabaret'

John Benjamin Hickey recalled the moment he was left star-struck by the 62-year-old pop superstar 20 years ago when she was sat in the audience of the musical, however, he was somewhat shocked that she used her time at the show to fix her hair

Appearing on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen', he revealed: “One night in the audience, Madonna was there. And we were all so excited that she was there. And there were lights on the audience. Madonna proceeded to sit and braid her hair through the entire performance."

However, Hickey's co-star Natasha Richardson was left furious as the 'Express Yourself' hitmaker paid no attention to the performance.

He continued: “If you’re going to come to the theater, don’t sit and braid your hair. Have some manners, especially if you know all eyes are on you. So I guess that was a version of being starstruck, but not in the right way."

Natasha - who was married to Irish Hollywood star Liam Neeson - sadly passed away in 2009 after she suffered an epidural haematoma in a skiing accident.

Her son Micheál Richardson recently opened up on the loss he feels in his life without his mother.

The 25-year-old actor - who was just 14 when Natasha died - said: "She was a terrific, terrific mother. What I wish is I could have just these adult conversations with her, these random questions about the industry or music. I was a mama’s boy growing up and she was really my best friend. I mean we were all a close family, but Danny [his younger brother] was my dad’s boy and I was my mom’s boy, for sure."

"It was so sudden. When it’s unexpected and it’s just a complete freak accident, it really sort of messes with your mind, whether you believe in fate or not.

"It can send you for a bit of a head spin, and so you just latch on to the tiny little memories, whether it’s her laugh or her energy in the room or her cooking. I do have her films to go back and watch her in, which I’m incredibly grateful for."
