Kerry Katona's baby plans are on hold until she's moved house

The 40-year-old star - who has Molly, 19, Lilly-Sue, 18, Heidi, 14, Max, 13, and DJ, seven, from previous relationships – and her fiance Ryan Mahoney have been exploring the possibility of using surrogacy to have a child together but won't be taking the first steps on their journey to parenthood just yet as their focus is on relocating back to the north west of England

Kerry revealed in her column for new! magazine: "I've had my call with the surrogacy agency and it went well. We spoke about what the next steps are, which would be going to the clinic to get my eggs and Ryan's sperm tested.

"But I'm not sure when that's going to happen just yet.

"We're still busy with our move and we really want to focus on that. Our priority is the new house at the minute. But we'll work it all out."

The Atomic Kitten singer had said last week, ahead of her call with the agency, that she was keen to start the process sooner rather than later because she doesn't want to be an old mum.

She said: “I’m not getting any younger and I don’t want to be a mum in my sixties taking her kid to school.

“So once I know all the steps I have to take, it will give me a good 20 years to be with my child. It’s exciting!”

Kerry recently vowed to do “whatever it takes” to have a child for Ryan’s sake.

She said: "Ryan wants to be a dad and I'm supportive of that, so I'll do whatever it takes to make it happen."

Ryan wants his child to carry his own name, even though he's a "wonderful stepdad" to Kerry's children.

She shared: "He'd like to carry on his name as well. We wouldn't want to adopt as it's like he's almost adopted my children anyway. Ryan is such a wonderful stepdad to my kids and treats them like his own."

But the 'Whole Again' singer is terrified by the prospect of carrying a baby after she almost died during her last pregnancy.

She said: "If I could carry a baby and be confident I'd feel alright at the end of it, I would. But my last pregnancy was so traumatic."
