A couple of Rose Bowl veterans have detailed their experiences at the Southampton ground ahead of cricket's world test championship final between New Zealand and India starting tonight

Former New Zealand batsman Hamish Marshall and bowler Andre Adams have played three and four first-class games respectively at the venue during extensive English county careers.
Marshall averaged 51 including a century on the surface, while Adams took 19 wickets at an average of 19.57.
Marshall recommends carrying a specialist spinner in your XI, regardless of rain leading-in.
Adams agrees the characteristics of the pitch can change markedly.
11 wickets out of 114 have fallen to turn from four first-class matches at the venue this season.
