Alex Rodriguez has rented a new home one mile from ex Jennifer Lopez

His new abode is grey shingled with a total of 9,200-square-feet and boasts seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

He has reportedly settled into his new home before sharing a video of himself playing basketball outside the pad on Sunday.

The former flames used to enjoy summers in the Hamptons at the 'Hustlers' star's $10 million home before they called it quits earlier this year.

They previously explained they were working on their relationship before coming to terms that they are "better as friends".

In a joint statement, they said: "We have realised we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects.

we wish the best for each other and each other’s children."

However, the pair are likely to run into each other with Jennifer reportedly set to spend the summer in her Water Mill mansion.

The news comes after it was reported that Jennifer is planning on moving to Los Angeles for a "fresh start" with Ben Affleck and will be looking for new schools for her 13-year-old twins Emme and Max - whom she has with third husband Marc Anthony - in California later this year.

A source said: "She will be between LA and the Hamptons this summer, but LA will be her base. "She is looking at schools for her kids in the fall."

The former couple recently rekindled their romance after they first dated in 2002, when they got engaged after two months of dating and split 18 months later.
