Children's health was put at risk during the height of the pandemic

An Otago University study has found there were about 55 instances during lockdown where paediatricians believed a child's care may have been compromised due to a delay in seeking medical help.
The child was less than seven weeks old in more than half the cases.
Clinical Epidemilogist from Otago University Mavis Duncanson says the bubble concept was well communicated, but some messaging didn't get through.
She says some people didn't understand the situations in which it was appropriate or necessary to break their bubble.
