Police are taking threats towards the Al Noor Mosque seriously
30 June 2021
They've confirmed they're investigating three separate reports of threats, in just the past fortnight.
Canterbury Metro Area Commander Superintendent Lane Todd says any form of abuse based on race or religion is considered serious.
Federation of Islamic Associations chair Abdur Razzaq, who made one report, says it's pleasing to see a quick response.
He says within eight minutes they saw action from Police and within 14 minutes officers were already at the mosque getting more details.
