Our booming property industry's grown by 19.6-billion-dollars in a decade

That's according to a report commissioned by the Property Council -- which found the sector makes up 15 per cent of total Gross Domestic Product.

Its Chief Executive says what's more interesting is the number of Kiwis unconsciously investing in property through Kiwisaver.

Leonie Freeman says across all 29 of New Zealand's Kiwisaver schemes, 3.3-billion dollars is invested into property.
