The national airline ran a six week trial which tested a range of food options in an aim to improve customer experience.

The famous inflight cookie and Air New Zealand lollies are here to stay but a variety of new snacks like popcorn, muesli bars and chocolates will be on offer on a rotation.

More gluten free and other dietary options will also be available.

Manager of Customers Leanne Langridge says they had a number of goals.

She says sustainability, promoting local products and nutritional concerns are all important to Air New Zealand.
