The Government says it warned people interest rates would rise

    Unemployment's dropped to four percent.

Several of the major banks are predicting the Reserve Bank will hike the Official Cash Rate up to one percent this year, and ANZ thinks it will rise to 1.5 percent by the middle of next year.

Finance Minister, Grant Robertson, says the Government's been talking about people being cautious and careful about housing debt.
