Five newcomers highlight the 17-strong Silver Ferns squad named for the 2021-22 season

Shooters Grace Nweke and Jamie Hume, goal attack Tiana Metuarau and midcourter Kate Heffernan have all earned first-time call-ups.

Midcourter Peta Toeava has been recalled into the black dress.

Captain Ameliaranne Ekenasio has been included despite still being on maternity leave.

Katrina Rore, Phoenix Karaka, Bailey Mes, Michaela Sokolich-Beatson and Kayla Johnson are all on return to play plans and haven't been included.

Three training camps that will include the development squad take place over the next two months, ahead of the four-test Constellation Cup against Australia in October.
