House inflation continues to shoot up around New Zealand, although slowing slightly

Real Estate Institute data shows median residential prices rose 25 percent in the year to July, compared to 28 percent in the year to June.
The median's now 826 thousand dollars, compared to 659 thousand a year ago.
The biggest price jump's in Marlborough, where the median is up nearly 42 percent, to 672 thousand.
Auckland, Gisborne, Hawke's Bay, Manawatu/Whanganui and the West Coast have all seen median prices rise by around a third.
