The England cricket skipper has hit an unbeaten 180 to guide his side to a first innings total of 391 in the second test against India at Lord's.
It's Root's fifth century and fourth score over 150 in 2021, helping England to a 27-run first innings lead with two days to play.
Meanwhile, the first test between the West Indies are Pakistan is evenly poised after three days in Kingston.
Pakistan are 160 for 5 in their second innings, a lead of 124 runs.
Earlier the West Indies were bowled out for 253 in their first innings.
