A flurry of activity at Queenstown airport - before it could be quiet for some time

The Government yesterday extended the initial 48-hour grace period by 24 hours to allow Kiwis to fly home from the tourist town.
The first of three flights to Wellington is about to depart , with six Auckland-bound flights also scheduled.
Queenstown Mayor Jim Boult says the last of the visitors should be gone by the end of the day.
