The Kiwi shot putter is back in the throwing circle just two weeks after claiming an Olympic bronze medal at the Tokyo Games.
On Sunday morning he's throwing at the Eugene event of the Diamond League in the United States.
Tokyo gold medallist and world record holder American Ryan Crouser is the man to beat, with his world record throw reaching 23.37 metres.
Walsh's coach Dale Stevenson says with shot put, you can't control the opposition - so all they can do is keep working hard.
