More than 15-hundred people received a jab at the site yesterday - set up at Auckland Airport's Park and Ride.
Only one-thousand people had been invited, all of whom had previous vaccine appointments disrupted by lockdown.
Entry to the site was cut off by 3pm to ensure the 300 to 400 carloads of people already in line could be jabbed.
Northern Region Health Coordination Centre Director Matt Hannant says they apologise to anyone turned away.
He says everyone is working hard to get this operating smoothly -- and they've asked all those people to come back.
The drive-through reopens at 8.30am today and is expected to run for a week.
