A bar owner in Wellington says the continuation of lockdown will be devastating to the hospitality industry

A bar owner in Wellington says the continuation of lockdown will be devastating to the hospitality industry

Until at least 11:59pm on Friday Wellington and the majority of the country will remain at Alert Level Four, with Auckland until least 11:59pm next Tuesday.

Until then...no non-essential businesses can operate.

Wellington Bar D4 owner Dermot Murphy says many businesses will be forced to close, and the impact that will have on people's mental health will be huge.

He says behind each business owner there's countless family members, as well as the staff and their family.
