Education Minister Chris Hipkins has set out NCEA change criteria for lockdown impacted students.
They include Learning Recognition Credits and University Entrance adjustments, if schools are in alert level 3 or 4 for 20 or more school days.
Auckland Secondary Schools' Principals Association president Steven Hargreaves says five lockdowns have impacted Auckland students.
He says lockdowns have a cumulative effect on student behaviour and learning.
Hargreaves says students have become more unsettled and despondent with each lockdown.
