The rate of first home buyer mortgages is steady despite growing house prices

The national average property value has hit one million dollars, according to One Roof and Valocity figures.
The typical cost of a property around the country increased almost five per cent in the last three months and 27 per cent since last September.
One Roof commentator Ashley Church says first home buyers are still in the market.
He says in the last year, 40 per cent of all new mortgages have been first home buyers.
