Former All Black Waka Nathan is being remembered as one of the best flankers in history

Former All Black Waka Nathan is being remembered as one of the best flankers in history

Nathan's died aged 81, having worn the black jersey on 37 occasions, with 14 test caps, between 1962 and 1967.

Phil Gifford - a renowned sports journalist and close friend of Nathan's - says he was a unique player for his time with a powerful running style and immense upper body strength.

Gifford adds Nathan would've been as good if he played in the modern era.

Coach Dame Noeline Taurua's hoping her side can re-connect on court in tonight's third and final netball test against England in Christchurch.

The Silver Ferns were beaten 55-45 in the second encounter, where Taurua says they became isolated from eachother.

    Centre pass is at 7:30pm.
