New Zealand's economic future looks resilient - but business certainty will be a critical piece of the puzzle

New Zealand's economic future looks resilient - but business certainty will be a critical piece of the puzzle

Infometrics predicts the economy will grow 3.6 per cent next year, with household spend and business still looking optimistic.

But its chief forecaster says the future of the pandemic's unknown and the Government must be clear in its decision-making.

Gareth Kiernan says there's been a lot of discussion around hitting a 90 per cent Covid vaccination target.

He says it's all well and good if we can meet that goal and enjoy more freedoms, but what happens if we don't.
