There's been movement in local financial markets as inflation rises

The Consumer Price Index has risen 2.2 percent in the September quarter - bringing annual inflation to 4.9 percent.
Excluding quarters impacted by GST rate increases - the quarter movement is the highest since the June 1987 quarter.
JMI Wealth Director Andrew Kelleher says there's been significant reaction in local financial markets.
He says bond rates, benchmark interest rates, five year swap rates and five year bonds were up about 25 basis points.
