The Auckland region is edging closer to the 90-percent thresholds it needs to reach, to transition to the newly announced traffic light system

The Auckland region is edging closer to the 90-percent thresholds it needs to reach, to transition to the newly announced traffic light system

Overall, 90-percent of Auckland's eligible population has had at least one dose, and 76-percent have had both.

Latest figures show the Auckland City DHB sits on 93 percent first jabs, Waitemata DHB is on 90 percent and Counties Manukau DHB is on 87 percent.

Just under 12 and a half thousand people in the Counties Manukau DHB area need to get their first jab, to reach the 90-percent mark.
