    Research has found Maori men with prostate cancer are slipping through gaps in the health system


    More than 140 Maori men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year

    Kaupapa Maori research project Oranga Tu: A Healthy Stand aims to improve the health experience of Maori Men and their whanau after a prostate cancer diagnosis.

    Project co-leader Jacquie Kidd says services for Maori men and their whanau don't work.

    She says a common finding in Maori research projects is the need for health services to engage with Maori communities - to know who they are.
