Excitement and nerves for schools as they wait to hear what the rest of the year will look like

Excitement and nerves for schools as they wait to hear what the rest of the year will look like

More details will be revealed today, on a plan to get kids in lockdown areas back on site.

Auckland Primary Principals' Association President, Stephen Lethbridge, says it's a big day for kids, teachers, parents, and principals in Auckland and parts of Waikato and the upper Far North.

He says principals and teachers would love to see their kids back at school but there's some trepidation because of Covid-19.

Lethbridge says one of the things to help make schools safe, is to vaccinate 5 to 11-year-olds, and he hopes that can happen early next year.
