Tomorrow, councillors will look to sign off their draft submission on the Government's emissions reduction plan.
The city has set out an ambitious timeline to reduce its carbon emissions to net zero by 2030.
The Dunedin City Council supports the Government's aim of achieving a carbon neutral future and low emissions economy.
The draft submission urges accelerated action from the Government to reduce gross emissions in its first three budget periods - ahead of 2030.
New Zealand's first national emissions reduction plan will be published in May next year.
